Tunturi T20 Treadmill Review

Getting fit and back in shape has become easier and easier with the flood of high quality home gym products. The marketplace is totally flush with amazing solutions that are not only reasonably priced but also competitive with the results you would enjoy from a commercial Canadian gym.

But there is a darker side to this fitness boom, and it comes in the form of not knowing whether or not the product you are investing in is going to live up to its hype and marketing or if it’s going to fail you outright – as is the case with the Tunturi T20 treadmill.

While it’s touted as one of the most simple and straightforward budget based machines (and it is reasonably priced and in good supply – the chances are great that you’ll be able to find one in your Toronto Fitness Depot), this is still a machine that you are going to want to shy away from when it comes to outfitting your home gym. It’s not that it is terrible product or will not produce results – as far as entry level treadmills go it is quite capable of giving you the workout you are looking for with pretty fair results. It’s the simple fact that the Tunturi T20 Canada presence has all but dried up.

Tunturi has left North America as a major marketplace, and the minute something goes wrong with your still pretty sizable investment (and something will go wrong), you’ll be on the hook for expensive repairs and hard to find parts. Not exactly something you should be worrying about when you are trying to get back in shape.

Tunturi T20 Treadmill Pros

As we stated earlier in this Tunturi T20 review, this is not a terrible treadmill in and of itself –especially right out of the box. There are a lot of innovative features (thinks like a totally shock absorbent running deck) that separate this item from the rest of the pack. All of the major components you are looking for with a new treadmill are here and in full complement – heart beat monitor, easy access and one touch remote controls, a 2.5hp motor and incline deck with a quick shut off safety feature – it’s all here. The problem with all of the Tunturi T20 treadmill Canada products has been the same thing it always has been – that it’s just not reliable enough for consistent use.

Tunturi T20 Treadmill Cons

This would be far from the first Tunturi T20 treadmill review to bring this problem up – just a quick search online will show you a flood of negative Tunturi T20 review after negative Tunturi T20 review, all of them talking about how it could be a world class budget based solution but can’t stay together long enough. And even that wouldn’t be a major problem if you had a customer services or repair team that was willing to work with your or help you out – but instead you have a company that has abandoned their Tunturi T20 Canada presence (and all of North America entirely), leaving you on the ropes with no real recourse or help when something goes south.

What we think

If you have a completely disposable income and no real reason to worry about throwing your hard earned money away on a consistent and regular basis, then by all means look into what the Tunturi T20 Canada products can do for you. But if you’ve been paying attention to this Tunturi T20 treadmill review you’ve no doubt learned that while this item in particular is alright for those that are mechanically inclined or looking for a throwaway solution, there are better products on the market.

Compact and priced at right around the same level as the Tunturi T20 but far more reliable and effective, the Horizon T101 treadmill is a fine replacement and a great contender to be your next treadmill. This is the kind of product that will give you the kind of peace of mind you deserve when investing in fitness tools without causing you to break the bank to invest in it.

On the other hand, if you’re truly committed to changing your life for the better and really want to take your fitness to the next level, you need to look at what the AFG 3.1AT Treadmill can bring to the table. Sure it’s more expensive (anywhere between $100 to $200 more in most cases), but you will be tapping into the same kind of commercial fitness center technology that people all over Canada and the world are using to get their health and fitness freedom back.
